Full Moon 23 degree of Libra on April 12

A full moon always promises a feeling of a “full cup”. We may feel an extra swell of emotion that tips the balance one way or another. In Libra, the sign of the scales, we may be feeling this in relationships. Libra is often aware of tension and wants to soothe or calm anything or anyone that may feel out of alignment. With a full moon, we may be aware that the time has come to let go of a relationship or pattern. The ruler of this lunation, Venus, is still in a strong place in Pisces, however there are some mitigating circumstances for this lunation. Venus is still RX (but will turn direct the following day) so we’ve been reviewing what is of value. At this full moon Venus will be sitting next to Saturn, which can vary in meaning. You may feel “full” and sated within a relationship, you may be aware of a need for boundaries or discipline. And, If you’re not in a relationship, you may be feeling isolated or lonely. This doesn’t have to necessarily mean a romantic partnership either, just take note of how relationships are showing up in your life. Chiron, our archetype for wounding and catharsis, will be sitting with the Sun in Aries opposite the Moon in Libra. This may bring a tender spot into full focus. How does interdependence (as opposed to independence or codependence) play a role in any relationship with “other”?

Finally, Mars in Cancer will be squaring (and creating a T-square with Sun and Moon) this lunation which has the potential to bring things to a boil. We may wish for grounded, practical energy at this time, but first we need to sit with the emotions, no matter how uncomfortable. Chiron may be offering some balm after any catharsis, so dig in, dive in, whatever helps you integrate.
